Dario Lombardo (AKA Dr. D), guitar player and singer, is one of the most representative musicians in the Italian Blues scene since 1979. He lives in hometown Torino. He has played his music all around Europe and US.

1976 – present: Blues guitar player, singer, composer, band leader, record producer.

1988 – present: Blues guitar teacher

1978 – 1981 conductor, Radio Flash 97.7 FM

2008 – 2019: conductor, Rewind Radio Show, Radio Flash 97.6 FM

2009 – present: founder and promoter, Phil Guy’s International Day

Dario is part of the Model T Boogie Band, and since 1988 he leads his own band, The Blues Gang.

He has worked with Phil Guy from 1987 to 2008, and his roster is filled up with many other cooperations (Johnny Copeland, Luther Allison, Albert Collins, Liz Mandeville and Delores Scott among others).

Doctor D takes care of the production of DDA DRUNK, an handcrafted brand of  bottleneck slides made out of Italian wines bottles.

Dr. D’s selections drive you across modern and contemporary music, a travel through the years from early recordings to the present with a special focus on Blues, Soul and West Coast styles and musicians. All aboard, the train’s leaving!
