Danilo Braca is an expert audio professional, with a long track record as a mixing engineer, DJ and music producer. Born in Italy and influenced by his father’s love for collecting records and for audiophile HiFi gear, Danilo started DJing at the age of 13. Shortly thereafter started working as a sound engineer in music studios in Rome, where he specialized in mixing audio for film and TV.

In 2012 he moved to NYC, where he founded The Sound of New York City, a web radio and a music production studio. He has built a strong reputation as a club DJ, as a producer and as a mixing engineer. His most recent work includes production on labels such as Music for Dreams, Best Record, House of Music, Jumbo Records, Sirsound Records, HGS, and mixing/mastering on labels such as World Famous, Music For Dreams, Best Record, TSoNYC, House of Music. As a DJ he has performed as headliner at venues such as LeBain at The Standard (NYC), House of Yes (NYC), Cielo (NYC), Output (NYC), ATV (Miami), Eagle Room (Miami), Air (Tokyo) and many more around the world.

In 2020 he founded Synth & Soda just to be able to submit, and unexpectedly win, the Beatport competition to remix the DJ Harvey’s song, “Berghain”.

Synth & Soda are DJ/producer Danilo Braca and musician/engineer Mario Gentili. Longtime musical conspirators since the early 2000s between Italy and NYC, and recent winners of the Beatport DJ Harvey Remix contest, Danilo and Mario are proud to present their first ever due release, a heartfelt tribute to the carefree ways in which their connationals took the beloved American Disco sound and made it their own. Released their first EP last Feb 2021

Remixes for other label as Death on Wax and File Under Disco will be out this late summer.
